Beth Ann Holloway, 1978 - 2008

Sally Ann, Beth's Boxer

Beth never excused herself, nor would she let others excuse her because of her cystic fibrosis. She simply lived life for every moment, and the moment at hand. Being the strong, independent, and courageous person she was, she made sure she didn’t miss out on all that was in reach for her.

She knew that “God was in charge.” There was no question with Beth about how she felt about anything or anybody. With the support of her mom and her strong involvement with her “Papaw,” Clyde Atkins, Beth held her head high.

On days when her CF and diabetes were taking a toll on her body, she would faithfully do what the doctors prescribed. Beth beat her expected death day by 10 or 11 years, and to someone whose days were counted all her life, it was a great achievement and a dream come true for her Mom and family.

The purpose for this walk-a-thon, “A Memory Walk for Beth,” and all the beautiful children and adults in the world diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, is to give hope for a cure some day. More research, new medicines, and therapy can give CF patients longer and healthier lives. Your support will be deeply appreciated.
