Beth Ann Holloway, 1978 - 2008
Beth Ann Holloway, born April 12, 1978 as a beautiful baby girl, with all her fingers and toes, "perfect" to her proud and happy parents. Before the new was broke in, Beth was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at the age of 6 months. This was shocking news to her parents and family. With little knowledge and an average life expectancy of 18 years of age, this was devastating news.
Cystic fibrosis was hardly noticed in her body the first few years, but as Beth grew older, so did her disease. Everyday was not only filled with pills and insulin, but early in Beth’s life she soon experienced tragedy and death with the loss of her father, which was the first example of “here today, gone tomorrow,” for Beth.
This is what doctors had reminded Beth of every visit; what her future had in store for her.
